Fabric Covered Lamp Shades

Awhile back I showed you how you can easily transform your lampshades with paint.  I really like the look and effect, but when I was sitting on the couch, at an angle where I could see the underside of the lampshade, I didn’t like what I saw.  Paint was seeping through the fabric, but not in a way that looked right.  I decided to fix it with fabric.  I like how it turned out.  Adds a little bit of color, and covers up the bleeding paint.  I may still embellish the bottom of shade with some trim, but we will see what I can find.

You will probably use scrap pieces or shorter strips near the end to fill in the gaps, depending on the shape of your shade.
