Fabric Covered Lamp Shades
Awhile back I showed you how you can easily transform your lampshades with paint. Â I really like the look and effect, but when I was sitting on the couch, at an angle where I could see the underside of the lampshade, I didn’t like what I saw. Â Paint was seeping through the fabric, but not in a way that looked right. Â I decided to fix it with fabric. Â I like how it turned out. Â Adds a little bit of color, and covers up the bleeding paint. Â I may still embellish the bottom of shade with some trim, but we will see what I can find.
MATERIALS NEEDED:
Fabric of choice (I had about 2/3 yard of a remnant piece)
Glue gun
scissors
DIRECTIONS:
Cut fabric into strips. Â Start gluing strips.
You will probably use scrap pieces or shorter strips near the end to fill in the gaps, depending on the shape of your shade.
