Improvised $19.38 shopping trip.
I actually had a longer list this week but in my haste to get out the door so my littles wouldn’t be late for school, I left the list and my recently printed coupons on the counter. I did have a few stashed in my purse, so the trip wasn’t a total waste!
I’m going to include my menu plan for the week as well, as a few of you requested I do that again!

Meal Plan
Wednesday: Hamburgers, grilled zucchini and strawberry/banana fruit salad. Using Zaycon beef from my freezer, homemade buns, cheese and strawberries from above, and produce on hand.
Thursday: Creamy Sloppy Joes and green beans. Using cream cheese from the fridge, leftover hamburger, CofM soup and green beans from the pantry, and leftover buns.
Friday: Grilled chicken, sweet potato fries and roasted broccoli. Used Zaycon chicken and on hand produce (I toss Panko, Parm. cheese and olive oil w/ the broccoli and bake w/ fries).
Saturday: Date night!
Sunday: Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad and Texas Toast. Using leftover grilled chicken, dressing from my pantry, Texas Toast from the freezer and lettuce on hand.
Monday: Meatloaf w/ Mashed Potato Frosting, creamed corn and brownies. Used Zaycon beef from the freezer, potatoes from a kind neighbor and creamed corn and brownie mix from my pantry.
Tuesday: Leftovers.

Shopping With The Fabs {Amber’s Winco Trip}
Just a basket full of produce this week for a grand total of $8.63.
That’s it. A few simple fruits & veggies is all I need this week. My total OOP for the week will be $8.63 because I still have milk & eggs in the fridge and a pantry full of everything I need to make meals.
Instead of detailing my boring transaction, I’m going to detail my dinner menu so you can see how I’m feeding my family on less than $9 this week thanks to a hearty stockpile.
Wednesday: BBQ Chicken Sliders and salad. Using Zaycon chicken & Rhoades rolls from my freezer, BBQ sauce and salad dressing from my pantry and a bagged salad I had from last week.
Thursday: My daughter’s school is having a fundraiser at a local pizza place. I happen to have a gift card so it will cost me nothing OOP.
Friday: Taco night! Using Zaycon ground beef and tortillas from my freezer, Spanish rice, taco seasoning, and salsa from my pantry, and some of the lettuce, tomatoes, limes, and avocados you see above.
Saturday: Spaghetti, french bread & green beans. Using Zaycon ground beef from the freezer, canned green beans, Prego and pasta from my pantry. I’ll make the french bread from scratch using ingredients I have on hand.
Sunday: Leftovers!
Monday: Breakfast for dinner. Making french toast using left over french bread and a fruit salad using the fruit you see above, plus canned pineapple from my pantry.
Tuesday: Pork tenderloin from the freezer, roasted potatoes (got the potatoes for free from a farmer friend!) and salad using the remaining veggies you see above.
And there you have my menu. It’s a super busy week for us so I’ve tried to keep it simple. Normally I like to cook a big meal on Sunday, but I’ve decided to scale back and keep things low key.

A few things to keep in mind when shopping Winco. The savings at Winco are simple. There are no complicated promos, double coupons or coupon overage available. So you won’t see the “extreme” shopping trips from Winco where everything above cost $.10. What you will see is realistic, everyday savings. And while the total percentage saved might seem low, keep in mind many of these pink star deals from Winco are the same price before coupons as Albertsons prices AFTER doubled coupons!

Another run-of-the-mill shopping trip at Winco where I spent a total of $20.22.
