Make your own duct tape hair bows!

{Pin This}

When my friend brought 2 rolls of duct tape and scissors to let’s hang out because our husbands are gone night and we were making hair bows I wondered what in the world?  As soon as she was finished I thought, BLOG POST! They turned out adorable!

Don’t get nervous by the length of this post.  It has a lot of pictures, but these are so easy to make and only take a few minutes!

What You Need:

  • Scissors
  • Hair Pins
  • Duct tape in any color(s) of your choice.  You can get these at Michael’s for $3.99.  Use the 40% off coupon from Sunday’s paper to get them for $2.39.

Instructions:

First, cut a strip of duct tape about 6-8″ long.

Next, fold the tape in half with the colored side up so the middle sticks together.

Then fold the tape accordian style the long way.

Pinch the tape in the middle and wrap a small strip of tape around it.

This is what it looks like from the front.

Just 1 step left: Slip a hair pin through the back so you can use it as a hair bow!

If you want to decorate your tape, be  sure to do it before you fold it.

Here’s what the decorated one will look line when it’s finished.  If your decorations aren’t perfect, it doesn’t matter.  Once you fold and tape your bow, you can’t tell.

Voila!  You’re done!
