Sock Octopus
I saw these cute little guys in a magazine and they looked so easy to make. Â I figured the kids would enjoy them, or they would make a cute gift for a small child. Â I never did see exactly what they wanted you to use to make it, but this is what I did.
MATERIALS NEEDED:
Socks (I got  2 pair at the Dollar Store)
Hot Glue Gun
Scissors
Googly eyes
Ribbon or rubber band
DIRECTIONS:
Stuff the sock with a good sized amount of batting.
Tie off with some ribbon or maybe even use a rubber band.
Then clip the bottom of the sock into 8 strips, for the tentacles. Â Glue on some googly eyes, and any other embellishments you would like to add.

I’m sorry, did you really pass up the opportunity to call it a socktopus?! I’m heartbroken for you.
I was going to say the exact same thing!!!
I always call it a socktapuse. I was like, “ I really wanna make a socktapuse.”
Ali, wish I had thought of that…much cuter 🙂 !
what did you do with the heel part? I can’t find tube socks without a heel.
You just ignore it… it becomes part of the pattern.
