Painted Lampshades
I have never really cared for our lamps that we have in our living room. Â My husband had them before we got married, and they are nice, just not really my style. Â I am hoping some day we will get new ones, but they work fine, so I hate to just get rid of them, when we can be spending that money elsewhere. Â Anyway, I have seen all sort of different ways to revamp your lampshades, and one of them was to simply paint them! Â Easy! Â We have lots of leftover wall paint, so I just grabbed a can and a paint brush and had at it. Â I painted them first off of the lamp, and then I replaced it on the lamp base, switched on the light and touched them up. Â With this little face lift, I can probably live with these lamps for at least a few more years, and they add a nice pop of color to our living room as well.
MATERIALS NEEDED:
Lampshades
Paint
paint brush
DIRECTIONS:
I started by just painting the shade on the table, and then putting it back on the base to see where I needed more paint.
You can see the spots much better when the light is on.
Easy peasy!!
