DIY Two Ingredient Static Guard!
Ok. So, this do it yourself happened out of necessity. Yesterday I noticed that my four legged children weren’t moving around very much and when they did, they walked around stiff legged. Right before it was time to go to bed, I called them over and pulled their sweaters off (it’s cold in my house!). As soon as I put my hands on the sweater, a jolt of electricity ran through my fingers! Then I realized, they weren’t moving because they were being electrocuted every time they did! Poor girls!
Don’t worry though, I got paid back! I laid down and threw my comforter over me only to feel like I had covered myself in a hornets nest! More static!! Unfortunately, I didn’t have any actual static guard (which was ok, for some reason that stuff irritates my lungs) but I really needed some help. So, I made my own!! YAY!

- Liquid Fabric Softener
- Water
- Spray Bottle
That’s it!! How awesome is that?!
All you have to do is take a few teaspoons of your liquid fabric softener and add it to a spray bottle.

My covers are getting a spraying too!!
You can also use this on carpets or any other fabric that wants to shock you!
Wasn’t that easy?! Oh, this little mixture can serve as a Febreeze replacement too!! It smells great!
I hope this post saves you some time and some money next time you find yourself in a shocking situation! 😉
