5 DIY Shoe Storage

A girl can never have too many shoes.  If you don’t know where to store them anymore, do not fret, because we have so many great shoe storage ideas you can do on your own.  Here are some of easy DIY shoe storage ideas you can make!

1. Crown Molding Shoe Rack

You’ll Need:

Crown molding (I used wood)
Paint
Paint brush
Sandpaper
Drill
Dry wall anchors
Screws

2. DIY Lazy Susan Shoe Storage

You’ll Need:

Discs (9) 700mm dia x 12mm plywood
Standard dividers (24) 250 x 150 x 12mm plywood
Tall dividers (5, optional) 250 x 500 x 12mm plywood
Base length A (2) 460 x 50 x 12mm plywood
Base length B (3) 436 x 50 x 12mm plywood
You’ll also need
Plywood offcuts; 40mm x 1.6mm nails; PVA glue; turntable swivel mechanisms (3); protractor; 2-part epoxy glue; Dulux Weathershield Low Sheen Acrylic in Grand Piano and Black; long nap mini roller; foam mini roller; router (optional)

3. Shoe Dresser

You’ll Need:

4 – 1×8, 8 foot length
2 – 1×6, 8 foot length
scrap 2x2s for the feet
3 – 1×2, 8 foot length
4 – 3/8″ wood dowel pins, 1 1/2″ long or two sets of traditional hinges
2″ screws or 1 1/4″ pocket hole screws
1 1/4″ Screws
2″ Finish nails
wood glue
4 magnetic cabinet clasps
knobs or pulls
A used fabric belt or strap
Finishing Supplies
Tools:
measuring tape
square
pencil
hammer (can be substituted for brad nailer with a nail punch)
safety glasses
hearing protection
Kreg Jig
Drill
Jigsaw
Random Orbital Sander
Level
Countersink Drill Bit

4. PVC PIPE SHOE RACK

You’ll Need:

PVC pipe cut in the number of pieces you need
Gorilla Glue or PVC cement

5. Hang Flats and Flip Flops

You’ll Need:

left over curtain rod mounted on two shelf brackets and lots of modified hangers
For the rod you could also use a wooden dowel, piece of PVC pipe, or any other strong bit of metal
a pair of needle-nosed pliers
spray paint
ribbons and buttons for design
