1.  Bicycle Wheel Clock

• Clock kit designed for big hands
• Paint can lid

2.  Stained Glass Bicycle Wheel

I love how you can take any old bicycle wheel and turn it into a piece of art with this project. Making a stained glass bicycle wheel won’t be easy, but once it’s finished and you can see it spinning in your garden, it will all be worth it.

You will need:

• Bicycle wheel
• Glass
• 1/4 in. copper foil – get 2 rolls
• Solder
• Flux
• Soldering iron
• Glass cutter

3.  Bike Rim Chandelier

Who needs a fancy chandelier when you can make one yourself with nothing but some LEDs and an old bike wheel? This DIY chandelier may not be the prettiest, but it can light up a room!

You will need:

• An old bike wheel (absolute minimum: a rim and seven spokes)
• A matching worn-out tire
• An LED garland, either 230 V or battery powered (the LEDs should fit into the spoke openings)

4.  Bicycle Wheel Wreath

If you live near a beach or you simply want to bring the beach back home with you, try making this ocean-themed bicycle wheel wreath! Such a lovely craft.

You will need:

• Wrench
• Hot glue gun
• Sewing needle
• Scissors and garden cutters
• Salvaged bicycle rim
• Coral fans (10 to 12)
• Large starfish (3)
• Tacky spray
• Blue and silver spray paint
• Silver and clear glitter
• Clear thread

5.  DIY Bicycle Wheel Pots and Pans Rack

What a genius way to organize your pots and pans! Most hanging racks can cost quite a bit, but with this project, you’ll be able to make your own hanging rack for cheap!

You will need:

• A bicycle wheel, cleaned to remove grease and dirt, with axle and tube removed.
• 7″ x 3/8″ carriage bolt
• 3/8″ jam nuts
• 3/8″ coupling nut
• 3/8″ threaded hanger bolt with half metal threads and half wood threads
• 3/8″ washers
• (5) 3″ S-hooks
• Power drill
• Adjustable crescent wrench
• Ladder
