Honey Lime Glazed Salmon Recipe

Prep Time: 5 mins | Cook Time: 15 mins
Yield: 4 salmon fillets | Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
  • pinch of cayenne
  • Salmon:

  • 1 teaspoon light brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 center-cut salmon fillets
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. For the Glaze: Whisk all ingredients together in a small saucepan and simmer over medium-high heat until thickened, about 1 minute. Remove from heat and cover.
  2. For the Salmon: Adjust oven rack to middle position and heat oven to 300.
  3. Combine sugar, salt, cornstarch, and pepper in small bowl. Pat the salmon dry with paper towels and rub sugar mixture evenly over flesh side of salmon.
  4. Heat oil in 12-inch oven-safe nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until just smoking. Lay salmon, flesh side down, in skillet and cook until well browned, about 1 minute. Using tongs, carefully flip salmon and cook on other side for 1 minute.
  5. Remove from heat and spoon the glaze over the fillets. Transfer skillet to oven and roast until center is still translucent, about 7-10 minutes. Serve.
