Place the rolls in a warm area of the kitchen for 3-5 hours, until they double in size OR preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes. When it finishes preheating, add a piece of air fryer parchment paper liner. Place the rolls on the liner, inside the air fryer. Do not turn it on. Let the rolls rise inside the warm air fryer for 20 minutes, or until they double in size.
Melt 1 Tbsp butter and the minced garlic in a small dish.
Brush garlic butter on top of defrosted rolls in the pan. Sprinkle on garlic salt and basil. Put the pan into the air fryer basket and close.
Air fry at 330°F (165°C) for 5 minutes.
Melt another tablespoon of butter. Open the basket, brush half of the butter on top. Air fry for another 3-4 minutes. If you want the tops to be a deeper brown, cook for 1 more minute.
Let the rolls rest inside the warm air fryer for 5-10 minutes.
Remove from basket and brush on remaining butter. Serve.
