You Might Be Addicted To Coupon Crack If…

After a full day of sightseeing the first thing you do when you return to your hotel room is hop online to see if you’re missing out on any good coupons ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Melinda

Mavis, I can relate. I read this post to my hubby and he said to me, “That sounds like you…totally!”

  • Becky FabFruGal

Did you bring a printer with you?

    • mavis

Noooooo…. I just saw the Jose Ole coupon too… This going on vacation stuff is cramping my style…

A buddy of mine went to Disneyland a few years back… found a deal site before he left, but the deals changed every day, and were only good for that day… BUT they saved SO MUCH money off park admission, that before when went he bought a cheap tiny little printer, packed it up with him, and was able to buy and print the vouchers there!
Now, it goes with whoever is on vacation!!
He spent like $35 on the printer (it was a cheap little thing)…

Becky, you can print travel vouchers in hotel business centers. No need to lug a printer around on a trip. Even budget hotels usually have a computer and printer available for guests.

Also, nowadays, you often don’t even need a printed voucher at all. Just purchase the voucher online and get a confirmation number. When you go the venue, just give them the confirmation number. I’ve done this many times, at many different websites/venues, some that don’t even look very professional, and I’ve never had a problem.

If you have an android or iphone (or another phone with email access, you can just show them the confirmation on your phone. I’ve done that too.

I dont’ know if all printer software will do this, but I do it all the time …

If I’m away from home and find a coupon online that I want to print, I just send it to my printer. It will sit in queue until I get home and plug in my laptop, at which time it will print out. The last time I was on vacation I sent several coupons to my printer over the course of a week, and they all printed out just fine after I got home. More often, I’ll be sitting at my dd’s sports event or whatnot surfing the web, see link for a coupon I want to print, so I just print it even though my printer is not hooked up. Once home, plug in the printer, and voila!

I hear ya sista, I do the same thing.

    Our entire family is addicted.

We’re three weeks in to “strategic” couponing (I’ve always used them, just never with a plan!) and my husband now prints them at work, has “liked’ a bunch of sites on Facebook, has recruited coworkers to pass them along to me (including one of those 10% off Albertson’s Catalinas from last week!) and today he spent the morning clipping them for me before going to work. My two eldest help organize and clip, sort through the binder for me… my 18 mos. old runs to the printer to snag them when they print… I’m sure baby number four will be addicted, too! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’ll admit I’m addicted to coupons! They save me more because I shop on base at the commissary.

    • Jennifer

Danielle – we have a commissary, too, but I find that couponing off base saves way more, provided you match sales to coupons. Without matching, base is definitely cheaper.

Do you have a big commissary? Ours is small and the selection is very limited. That could be part of the problem!

We have two here in Jacksonville, NC. One is on Camp Lejeune and the other on New River Air Station (where my hubbys stationed). Camp Lejeunes’ is huge, but I find going to New River is more convient. We live closer to them and they arent quite busy.

I’m still new to couponing, but last week I managed 104 items, including meat and produce, for $144. I used about 30 coupons, taking off almost $50. I’m still not “brave” enough for price-matching haha.

  • Melissa

Baahahahahaa, love it!! I haven’t travelled yet since I’m only a month in to couponing, but I check 4new deals even after I get home from shopping!! LOL ๐Ÿ™‚ I love the ‘U might be addicted to coupon crack if’ posts! They always make me giggle :p (even at myself, Hehe!)

Oh my goodness! That was me 2 weeks ago. We went on a family vacation to Florida and I kept checking my iphone via the rss feeder. I also logged into the hotel website (at night of course, when kiddies went to bed) to print some coupons I could not miss! I am totally addicted!
