You Might Be Addicted To Coupon Crack If…

I took my 5 year old son to the dentist office for a cleaning.  Afterwards, he picked out a toothbrush. Then the hygienist told him to pick a bag out to put his toothbrush in.  As all curious 5 year olds are, he looked into the bag to see what was in it.  It was the floss that caught his eye but the coupon.  He started yelling “MOM, I gotta a coupon!!! This is AWESOME. Now we can get us a free toothbrush with this coupon.”  Everyone in the office laughed and still today talk about him and his coupon experience.  You might be addicted to coupon crack if your 5 year old is more excited about a coupon then a free toothbrush and dental floss. 🙂  I am so proud of Big A, mom is training him well.

My daughter got a free toothbrush from the dentist, but was disappointed. “Another free toothbrush. We already have 100 of them at home already” We don’t really have a hundred, but to a 6 year old, a dozen is alot.

My kid LOVES coupons. He is always asking for coupons when we walk the store. The other day he lost his toothbrush. It was nice to know that we had a “freebie” toothbrush in the closet. I was thankful I didn’t have to pay full price for him to have another one. I do believe one day our children will understand why we saved money. It’s important to teach them to save and not spend. 🙂 Thanks for your comment.
