Butter the outside side of each slice of bread. Place two of the bread slices in the air fryer, buttered side down. Place cheese on each of the bread slices in the air fryer, then top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
Cook at 350°F/175°C for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway thru cooking. If you want a little more toasting, turn the air fryer up to 400°F/200°C for an additional 1-2 minutes.
Serve warm. Perfect for dipping in soup!
For best results, use a thicker, more moist bread, like Grandma Sycamore's brand. If your air fryer fan is too powerful and is blowing the bread off the top, try inserting a few toothpicks to keep it from blowing off.
