Why I ♥ Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil {and how you can SAVE $$$}

I’m LOVING the VitaCost Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil!

There are so many things you can do with Coconut oil!

I’ve been using this as a natural moisturizer and it’s working beautifully on my daughters chapped hands and my 6 year olds eczema!

If your kids get the “chapped lips mustache” like my boys do, then use this… it will clear it up in a DAY!

I love to rub it into my neck and shoulders for a relaxing massage (the smell is divine!)

Use it as an oil and butter substitute in your cooking and baking (I think this would make amazing popcorn!)

You can also use it on your hair for a natural moisturizing treatment

Perfect for diaper rash and cradle cap

All natural make-up remover

I love coconut oil!! It makes just about anything taste amazing, and yes, it’s FANTASTIC on popcorn!

  • Cathy Jenkins

I too L O V E this stuff !! I got the exact same one from the exact same place !!! LOL I like to mix equal parts peanutbutter & coconut oil and dip banana in it !! And melt chocolate chips and add coconut oil and slice bananas and dip them in and place on a sheet of wax paper and pop in the freezer for about 20 mins…um, um, good !!!

  • Anna

I love CO! It can replace any oil, cream or ointment in your house. Check this out: http://wakeup-world.com/2012/03/02/160-uses-for-coconut-oil/

It is AMAZING. I use it on my kids. It’s great because my 2-year-old always tries to eat the lotion. This is great because it’s actually good for his insides to eat this stuff. 🙂

If you melt some chocolate chips and add a tablespoon of coconut oil to it, you have the Dairy Queen dip type cone. On top of ice cream it hardens immediately, as well as in the container you melted it in. You can reuse that container by melting again. Also mix coconut oil with sugar for a lip scrub to take the dead chaps off your lips and leave them smooth.

I put sugar in it and use it as an exfoliator on my face about 3 times a week. It leaves your complexion so smooth looking and soft. You can wash your face after you use it, or wash before, and just rinse with water and towel dry. The oil is a wonderful moisturizer. Just make sure you don’t use any water on your face with the scrub or the sugar will dissolve. I have oily skin, and have never been able to use any cosmetics containing oil. Coconut oil is the only oil that doesn’t make me break out.

  • Emily

That’s funny, I just started using this a few days ago on my 3 year old’s eczema and my 8 month old’s diaper rash. Sooo much better than sticky creams!

  • Elizabeth Stires

I am from Hawaii, we use coconut oil when we go in the sun. It is what Hawaiians have been using to protect their skin from the sun forever. It works, we went camping on the beach for 4 days and the only thing I put on my skin is cocnut oil, no sunburn! Just beautiful, moisturized, golden skin 🙂

    • Monica

I am trying that this summer! Thanks Elizabeth! Can’t wait to smell like coconut this summer instead of stinky sunblock!

  • Tonya M

I have taken a TB straight before a long workout and it gives me the stamina and endurance.

  • Karin

Just wanted to say that a friend of mine whipped it and added some lavendar essential oil. Omg heaven in a jar:-) 🙂 🙂

  • mh

I used it in cookies the other day and almost had cookie failure. (I hope they were ok Cathy 🙂 I guess I need to learn a little bit more about baking with it but I love using it in other things.

  • Michelle

The wheat bread I make uses it. Although the CO that I got at my country store was yellow in color.
