$4 for a bottle of water?! What crazy person would pay that? I have yet to be THAT parched! LOL

I’ll admit to being crazy, as I have been known to spend that much on a bottle of water. Not often, but occasionally in certain situations, like when I’m in an airport. I always want to have some water with me on flights; I’ve learned through experience that you can’t depend on the airline being able to provide water. And since I can’t pack it in with me, I’m stuck paying a pretty penny for a bottle after passing through security.

Also, public drinking fountains kind of gross me out. So if we’re out in public and thirsty, unless the fountain looks awfully clean and I’m feeling very brave, I’ll opt to buy water. Especially in the summer when it’s hot out, and we can’t easily keep water bottles cool.

That said, I never buy bottled water in the stores to have at home. We are perfectly content with the filtered tap water. For the most part, we bring our own water bottles from home. But there are times when I do choke over the price tag of a bottle of water but buy one anyway.
