I love the Dove company. They have great products and I especially love the Cucumber Cool Essentials Deodorant. But do you now what I love most about Dove? The way they build up women! In recent years they have had several campaigns with the mission to build self-esteem for women. This is the first one I remember seeing. Several woman are told to explain their features to a forensic artist. Then a person that just met them describes them to the artist. The women find out that they are much more beautiful that they give themselves credit for. You can check it out below. I love it! I promise it is worth the 3 minutes. If you didn’t get enough check out the 6 minute version.
I love this message too. It is about choosing beautiful. You do not have to be average, you can choose beauty. I love how the other women encourage their friends to choose the beautiful door when they see it. I hope more women can see this in themselves.
Dove recently released a new message in their self-esteem project to #speakbeautiful. The goal is to help change the ways girls see themselves. Here are two more videos about building girls self-esteem here and here.
- Dove research reveals that 8 out of 10 women encounter negative comments on social media that critique women’s looks. The Dove #speakbeautiful campaign encourages women to realize the role our online words play in impacting our confidence and self-esteem. Women do not realize the messages they post are contributing to negative mindsets and behavior about beauty online (only 9% of women admit to posting negative comments on social media). Together let’s #speakbeautiful and help change the way girls see themselves by changing the way we talk about ourselves on social media.
- To remind women to #speakbeautiful, Target will have an exclusive in-store offer to receive FREE #speakbeautiful reminder decals to place on your phone, computer, or tablet when you buy 2 Dove products at Target. This easy reminder can help remind women to #speakbeautiful on social media.
Offer valid until 10/31/15, while supplies last.
