What good are SD cards though? Most newer gadgets use Micro SD, or can’t handle more than 2GB on one card (original SD format, before SDHC). If a full size SD card is needed, most Micro SD cards come with adapters for full size (and sometimes the rarely used, but insanely expensive Mini SD size.) It is worth an extra bit to get the card that will be able to be used on nearly anything, because most of the time you don’t know if you can fit the SD or Micro SD card in that shiny new camera until you buy it. Spending more on that card can save you the cards value when you find out you have to get a different one.
Luckily, it is pretty easy to find cheap Micro SD cards if have patience. I myself am subscribed to the RSS feed of a website called Gizmodo. Every day they have an article posted about noonish called dealzmodo (well tagged dealzmodo anyways. They name it a really long name with deal-of-the-day in the title.) They have a ton of tech deals curated from other sites, and they almost always have some sort of deal on SD and Micro SD cards. For example, yesterday they found a deal where you can get two 8GB SD cards for $9, and a few days ago they had a 32GB micro SD for $18 with free shipping, two dollars less than your 32GB up there for a better product. I think it is a good idea, since you wait for shipping anyways, to watch something like that for a few days before buying, because you can save a lot or get a better product, like a class 10 (faster and more compatible) card.
People flip out over ‘flash’ amazon sales and the like, but still think tech is super expensive. It really is, if you pay tech myth markup. Same thing goes for any type of technology. Follow a geek and you will either find cheap prices or really really nice quality. Downside is, as you have probably noticed, the Aspie fueled comments, but that seems like a small price to pay for nice, cheap, tech.
