Sweet and Spicy Slow Cooker Chicken

1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 can (14 oz) petite-diced tomatoes, undrained
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/4 – 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes (according to how spicy you want it)

Coat inside of crockpot with non-stick cooking spray.  Place all ingredients in crockpot and cook on high 4-6 hrs. or low 8-10 hrs.  When ready, chicken will shred easily with a fork.  Chicken will absorb liquid and flavoring after shredded.

Serve in tortillas, tacos, or however you like!

  • Hello everyone! I just wanted to mention that some of the people I have heard back from prefer to drain their tomatoes to eliminate having too much liquid in the final product. It must really depend on how hot your slow cooker is. I hope you all enjoy!
