Sweet and Sour Marinade
I have so much FREE soy sauce in my pantry these days (get yours free at Albertsons now!). One of my favorite ways to use it is in marinades. Here’s one I use on frozen meatballs and lil’ smokies. I make the marinade and then toss it with the meatballs or smokies in the crock pot for a few hours.
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
- 4 cloves Garlic
- 1-½ cup Ketchup
- 1 cup Honey
- ½ cups Soy Sauce
Preparation Instructions
Melt butter in a medium/large sized sauce pan over medium heat. Once butter is melted, toss in the diced cloves of garlic and let them cook for about 30 – 60 seconds.
Pour in ketchup, honey and soy sauce and stir together. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
Reduce heat and cover; let cook for roughly 5 minutes.
