This recipe is easier than is sounds and it is a delicious twist to classic French Toast!  This would be the perfect addition to your Mother’s Day brunch or fun recipe to impress Mom with  breakfast in bed!

Strawberry Cream Cheese Stuffed French Toast

French toast is one of my most favorite foods to eat any time of the day.  So when I tried this Strawberry French Toast I was hooked.  It is a simple recipe, just spread the cream cheese mixture on one side of the bread and top with strawberries.  Then top each slice of bread with another slice just like a sandwich.  Press the sides of the bread together and dip in the egg mixture.  Cook on a heated and buttered griddle until golden brown.  Serve with Maple syrup and/or sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar.  So delicious!!!

I would even make this recipe for dinner!  It is very filling and it’s so creamy smooth, it’s like eating a warm dessert cheesecake!  If you are not a fan of strawberries or just want to switch it up a bit you could also substitute other berries or fruit like raspberries, blueberries, bananas, peaches or more!  Enjoy!

Strawberry Cream Cheese Stuffed French Toast Recipe

Serves: 4 to 6 servings


  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup confectioners sugar
  • 12 slices white bread
  • 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
  • Butter, for cooking
  • Maple syrup, for serving
  • Confectioners’ sugar, for serving


  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and granulated sugar.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixed with confectioners sugar on half of the bread slices and top with strawberries.
  3. Top with the remaining 6 bread slices and press around the edges to seal.
  4. Melt butter on a griddle over medium-low heat.
  5. Dip the sandwiches in the egg mixture for a few seconds on each side.
  6. Cook the sandwiches until golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes per side.
  7. Serve with maple syrup, Strawberry Syrup, or confectioners’ sugar.
