Thank you to my beautiful grandma who shared this super yummy pasta salad with me! I love how colorful and full of flavor it is! I will be making it again this weekend for our Memorial Day family get together. Pasta salads are always a favorite!

To make this TERRAfit-friendly, use whole grain pasta.

  • 2 cups tri-color rotini
  • 2 cups broccoli florets cut to bite size
  • 1 ½ cups cheese cubed to bite size (you can use whichever kind you like)
  • 10 cherry tomatoes quartered
  • 1 medium green or red sweet pepper chopped
  • 2 green onions thinly sliced
  • 3 Tbs. snipped fresh basil or 1/2 tsp. dried
  • 3 Tbs. red wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbs. olive oil
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. pepper
  • Olives and fresh mushrooms or cucumbers are also great to add!


  • Cook pasta according to package instructions, adding the broccoli for the last 5 minutes of cooking.
  • Drain and rinse under cold water.
  • In a large serving bowl, combine pasta, broccoli, cheese, tomatoes, peppers and onions.
  • Dressing: In a seperate smaller bowl or salad dressing shaker, combine basil, vinegar, oil, salt & pepper.
  • Mix or shake well to combine.
  • Pour over salad & toss to coat.
  • Cover and chill for 2-4 hours before serving.
