Make Your Own Toasted Almond Butter

Preheat your oven to 300 degrees. Spread your raw almonds out evenly on a cookie sheet. Toast in the oven for 15 minutes. Remove and let cool 5 minutes. Place the almonds in a food processor. Process for 2-3 minutes then stop and scrape down the sides.

Continue processing for another 8-12 minutes depending on how strong/full your processor is. The almonds will gradually change from powdery to clumpy. Don’t get discouraged!

Keep processing until the ball starts to break down, thin out, and eventually look like smooth tasty almond butter! For me,  this took about another 4-5 minutes.

Store in a mason (or glass) jar and refrigerate! Personally, I love to eat almond butter on lightly salted rice cakes, toast, pancakes with strawberries and sometimes straight off the spoon! YUM!
