Ingredients
- 1 box lemon cake mix (any kind)
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 2 cups Cool Whip, thawed (8 ounce container)
- ½ to 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine cake mix, egg, and Cool Whip.
- The batter will be sticky!
- Form dough into tablespoonfuls and roll in powdered sugar.
- Bake on greased cookie sheet for 8 to 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
- Allow to cool 1 minute on baking sheet;

Looking at the recipe…..what temp do you bake them at and do you have to grease the cookie sheet?
Sorry, bake at 350 degrees and I did grease the pan.
This recipe calls for 2 cups cool whip or an 8 oz container. There are only 8 oz in a cup. Should it only be 1 cup cool whip?
Normally you are right 8 oz of liquid does equal a cup but the 8 oz containers of Cool Whip do have 2 cups in them. It is already whipped so there is a lot of air in there. So it weighs 8 oz but does indeed have 2 cups of substance. Hope that helps!
Think you could make these with different cake mixes? Strawberry would be yummy I think!
These are really good but are they supposed to be soft in the middle not really what I call doughy…I cooked them longer than what it said…
