I found this recipe 2 years ago when I first started blogging. I just made it this past week and remembered how much I love it! Nearly all of the items I had in my stockpile or freezer! Thanks to Laura from Real Mom Kitchen!
6″ Sub Sandwich Buns
Deli Ham (I just used lunch meat that I had in my freezer from a good sale)
Sliced Pineapple (got these on sale in May at Albertsons)
Barbecue Sauce (got myself some FREE Sweet Baby Rays at Albertsons in June)
Deli Sliced Swiss Cheese (the Sargento Swiss cheese is $2.50 at Albertsons through Tuesday)
Foil (to wrap sandwiches individually in)
Preheat oven to 425 degrees
Assemble melts starting with Ham, Pineapple Slices (tidbits or crushed will work OK too), BBQ sauce, and Swiss Cheese last. Put the top on and wrap the sandwich snugly in the foil. Place sandwiches in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Give it 5 minutes to cool and enjoy!! SOOO super yummy!
