Homemade Orange Julius

Have you ever enjoyed an Orange Julius?  If not you are totally missing out!  Most people have tasted them from a food court in the mall and even though they are delicious I personally feel like a homemade version is so much better.  This is the recipe I grew up with, and now I make it for my own children.  We love it when we have a yummy Saturday morning breakfast and we ALWAYS enjoy this Christmas morning as a family tradition!  The entire family loves it and it is by far one of the things they request more then almost anything else I prepare.  In fact, many of the kids friends have been excited to try an Orange Julius on Saturday mornings after staying over.  I am guessing because they are talking about them to their friends they must really love them!  I will admit that there is something amazingly delicious and refreshing about this creamy smooth citrus drink that everyone loves and makes it perfect for any occasion.  Plus, it only takes a handful of ingredients that I bet you can already find in your own pantry and freezer!  Once you have assembled all of your ingredients you can have your fresh homemade Orange Julius done within a few minutes.  You can use these as a delicious start to your day, as a sweet treat after school or extra curricular activities, or just because.  My daughter actually just requested that we serve these at her birthday party in a couple of weeks!  I think they will be a great addition to her pool party and plan to dress them up with cute little umbrellas and maybe even pour them into coconut shaped cups.  If you try this recipe please come back and let us know.  We can’t wait to hear what you think!
