best guacamole recipe

I love to make and eat guacamole. This is an old recipe that I am updating with new pictures and a few recipe modifications. I used to make my guacamole really smooth in a food processor. But not I like it kind of chunky. Sometimes I puree half of it and leave half chunky and mix them together. You can mix it up however you like.

5 Simple Ingredients for Guacamole:

Avocado, Cilantro, Lime juice, Garlic, Salt

I have three tools that I love to use when I make guacamole.

Lemon Press: I have a lemon press instead of a lime press because it is big enough to use on my limes and my lemons.  Here is a great one that recently dropped in price and is currently only $6.80! The great thing about having a lemon press is you can get much more juice out of your lemon or lime than hand squeezing.

Avocado Slicer and Pitter: Love this tool! I use it when I make my cucumber salad or slice avocado for burgers. My friends love this tool when they see it and they all say, “I need to get one of those!”  This is the Avocado Slicer that I have. I love that it works as a slicer and a pitter!

See how easily it pits the avocado and peels the avocado.

Herb Chopper and Cutting Board: This is a fun tool too! It is really great if you have a lot of fresh herbs on hand. This chopper is similar to the one I have.

Herb Scissors: I have had my eye on these herb scissors. I would love to try them out. Has anyone ever used them? What did you think?

Add all ingredients in a bowl and mix in food processor or just stir by hand mashing in avocado to the consistency you prefer as you stir.

See what it looks like when you run all of the guacamole ingredients in a food processor.
This is the food processor that I have. I really like it. It is a perfect size for guacamole and it has many other functions.

Yum. I love guacamole. I am going to try your recipe. We have an avocado tree so it will definitely get put to use.

Thanks for the recipe. I’ve always wanted to learn how to make my own guacamole at home. The country that I’m from doesn’t have Mexican food, so I’ve started eating it after I’ve moved to America a few weeks ago. It looks so easy to make guacamole in my own kitchen. I’m really excited to finally start making my own guacamole so that I can have them whenever I want.
