“Grand” Corn Dogs
If you have shopped at Albertsons recently, my guess is you might have some biscuits, some hot dogs and some cheese lying around. This recipe deliciously combines all 3!
1 (16.3-oz.) can Pillsbury Grands Refrigerated Buttermilk Biscuits
8 teaspoons ketchup
8 teaspoons mustard
8 hot dogs
8 slices of cheese
1. Heat oven to 350°. Lightly grease cookie sheet. Separate dough into 8 biscuits. Press or roll each to form 6 inch oval.
2. Spread each biscuit with 1 teaspoon ketchup and 1 teaspoon mustard (I only do this if I am NOT adding cheese. I don’t like the combination of the condiments & the cheese, but many people do!). Cut the cheese in half to form triangles. Slice the hot dogs from end to end without cutting completely in half. Insert 2 triangles of cheese into slit (my husband also likes it when I add a slice of bacon!). Place 1 hot dog in center of each biscuit. Roll dough around hot dog; seal ends and edges well. Place seam side down on greased cookie sheet.
3. Bake at 350° for 15 to 18 minutes or until golden brown.
