FabuLESS Freezer Cooking: Crispy Southwest Wontons

If you haven’t had a chance to check out our Freezer Meal Cooking Series you absolutely need to!  Freezer meal cooking is a great way to save money on your grocery budget!  In this series we show you how to get a freezer meal cooking group together, how to do all of your shopping, and even how you need to organize your group on cooking day.  These Crispy Southwest Wontons are another fantastic recipe that you can use in your freezer cooking!  It is from my favorite recipe blog Picky Palate!  I actually learned about Picky Palate from Cathy one summer when she made some of Jenny’s fabulous brownie recipes for a BBQ. Speaking of brownies you have to try my favorite ones The Carmel Filled Magic Brownies.  Seriously, these recipes will not disappoint!  I LOVE these Crispy Southwest Chicken Wontons because they have a fantastic flavor, are easy to make, and who doesn’t love a yummy food they can eat with their fingers?!  I know what you may be thinking.  These are not traditional flavors you find in a wonton, but that is honestly one of the best things about this recipe.  I just love how the crispiness of the wonton contrasts with the smoothness of the southwest mixture found inside.  Like all of our recipes you can adjust this to what your family loves and add or omit ingredients to your liking.  I am planning to add black beans to my mixture when I make these again and I will probably put together a batch with diced jalapenos because my family, at least most of them, absolutely love spicy food and I think that would give these a really good kick!  Shredded cheese is another addition that I have seen a lot of conversation about to give it some ooey gooey goodness!  We can’t wait to hear what everybody decides to add to their next batch.
