Quick & Easy Queso Dip

This is my husband’s most FAVORITE dip… ever.

I’m more of a spinach-artichoke-dip-kind-of-gal though. So, I usually only make this cheesy dip for him when I know we will have other people around to enjoy it too. (It is nearly a requirement at any gathering where a dip would be appropriate.) A Super Bowl party often becomes one of those cherished times for him. Otherwise, he’d be eating dip for a week straight… which maybe he’d enjoy, but probably isn’t a good idea.

I think it is fine to use reduced fat Velveeta (2%) and the reduced fat cream cheese (Neufchatel). You could get crazy and add some green onions or other seasonings too. My husband loves it just the way it is.

I was introduced to this little recipe from by my awesome friend, Shannon, and I’m not sure where she got it from. It is pretty simple and it has probably been around for a while though. We’ve been making it for years now!

  • 8 ounce package cream cheese
  • 16 ounce package Velveeta
  • 14 ounce can Nalley Jalapeno Chili
  • 16 ounce jar salsa

  1. Unwrap and chop the cream cheese and Velveeta into chunks to help them melt more quickly. Add all ingredients to a saucepan over medium heat or to a slow cooker on high. Cook until melted together, stirring occasionally. Serve with crackers, chips, or whatever your heart desires.
