Easy Crockpot Italian Chicken and Rice

Thanks to our reader Nora for submitting this recipe!  I’ve got some some Italian Salad Dressing in my stockpile that needs to be used (plus a freezer full of Zaycon chicken), so this is a perfect solution!  Nora says this is her family’s favorite recipe.

Easy Crockpot Italian Chicken and Rice

  • Place desired amount of Chicken (whichever cut your family prefers)
  • Pour 1-2 bottles of Italian Salad Dressing over the chicken (depending on how much chicken you have in there)
  • Cover and cook until the chicken either pulls away from the bone or the breasts start to separate.
  • Just before serving,  cook rice
  • Serve chicken over rice.

I’ll add pictures as soon as I make it this week!

  • For how long do we cook this, and on high or low? And boneless/skinless, or pieces? Thanks!

    • Hope you like it as much we do!

Andrea, choose what kind you want to cook. It can be legs, breasts, tenderloins or any other type of chicken. We prefer tenderloins. For how long is going to vary per crockpot. Mine cooks fast so it only takes an hour or so to cook @ 350 degrees. It so amazingly simple and absolutely delicious that I wish all recipes were so easy.

  • We’ve used this recipe for years. In fact, my daughter MADE it for our family of 9 when she was 5! Serously, its THAT EASY!
I like to serve it with Italian Pasta (bag of tri colored spiral pasta, can of diced tomatoes w oragano, can of sliced black olives, bottle of italian dressing, chill. from there you can add cubed cheese but not till time to serve, gets slimy)
& with green salad w, u guessed it, Italian dressing! add some olives & blue cheese chunks.
Cook the chicken on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8, just depending on what kind of busy your day is gonna be.
    LOVE IT!
