Crockpot Cream Cheese Chicken Freezer Meal

This crockpot cream cheese chicken recipe is one of my favorite freezer meals because it only takes about 10-minutes for me to prep it for freezing! I typically make multiple as well so that I have some easy backup dinners if I need them throughout the week.

This would be a great recipe to bring to a freezer meal group if you’re a part of one. Why? Because there aren’t many ingredients involved, and almost everyone likes this recipe once they try it.

Preparing the Crockpot Cream Cheese Chicken for the Freezer

Preparing this crockpot cream cheese chicken for the freezer is really easy. There are only 2 (or 3) ingredients that you have to actually freeze:

  • The chicken breasts – Put these in a large Ziploc freezer bag
  • The butter – Put the butter in a smaller Ziploc freezer bag, and then put that bag into the bag with the chicken
  • (Optional) The Italian seasoning – You can either freeze the seasoning inside the same bag you put the butter in, or you can store it in your pantry

The butter and the seasoning have to be in their own bag because you don’t want them to get all soggy once the chicken thaws.

For the other ingredients, the cream of chicken soup can stay in your pantry, and you can keep the cream cheese in your fridge.
