Corn Chowder Soup

This Corn Chowder recipe is what I call comfort food! That extra step of cooking and chopping the bacon is totally worth it!

Corn Chowder In a Bowl

  • 8 slices bacon (cooked and chopped)
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 4 cups red potatoes, chopped
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 soup cans of milk
  • 1 can of corn, drained
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper


  1. In large pot, boil red potatoes until soft. Drain then return to pot. Add soup, milk, bacon, onion, corn, garlic and peper. Mix well. Bring to a boil then add sour cream. Stir constantly until sour cream is blended in. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes. Serve warm.
