Chinese Cabbage Salad

1 head cabbage
8 green onions
2 pkgs. ramen noodles
1 c. almond-I prefer the slivers but any will work

1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. soy sauce
1/3 C. oil

Mix and cook dressing ingredients on stove top until sugar is completely dissolved.  Set aside and allow to cool completely.
Chop cabbage and onions and combine. Set aside.  Break up the ramen noodles and toast either in a frying pan or on a baking sheet in the oven. Toast lightly and stir occasionally.  Set aside and allow to cool. Mix almonds, dressing, cabbage mixture, and ramen noodles.

This is a great salad to prep ahead of time and throw together right before dinner.
