Bubble Pizza

I found this recipe on Meal Planning Mommies about 18 months ago.  Meal Planning Mommies is one of those blogs that I found when I first started blogging two years ago (it’s funny how I have a “special place in my heart” for some of those first blogs I discovered in first several months of blogging!). They have this recipe posted that I love to make… because it is one that EVERYONE in my family likes {miracles of miracles!} not to mention it is super easy! Since the Prego was FREE during the last sale at Albertsons, (and now the cheese is a good price), I thought this would be a good one to post!

Bubble Pizza:

2 cups pizza cheese (or whatever cheese you have on hand)
Browned sausage (you can also use hamburger, pepperoni, or bacon)
1 jar of pizza sauce I just use pasta sauce
2 tubes buttermilk biscuits.
*Note: I don’t put veggies in this b/c my family doesn’t like the veggies, but feel free to add whatever you would order on your own pizza.

Step #1: Brown and drain the meat.
Step #2: Cut the 2 tubes of biscuits into quarters. I like to use my kitchen scissors for this
Step #3: Put the biscuits into a bowl along with the jar of pizza sauce.
Step #4: Add the meat and any other toppings you may have.
Step #6: Mix it all together. I just throw it all in a glass pan and mix it right in there.  I try to dirty up as few dishes as possible!:)
Step #7: Pour into a baking dish (ungreased).
Step #8: Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Step #9: No, I didn’t forget the cheese! After baking for 20 minutes, take it out and add your cheese. Now pop it back in the over for 10 more minutes.

Meal Planning Mommies has pictures of each step on their original post (one of the reasons I love their blog!)  Thanks Meal Planning Mommies!

  • I love bubble pizza. I use to make this with my students when I taught Special Education. This was an easy recipe that they could follow. My daughter loves this pizza also. I think I will make some with her really soon.

  • We love bubble pizza at our house. Mostly because my 8 year old can make it. All I have to do is put it in the oven. We just do marinara sauce then top with pepperoni and cheese. I have also done Bubble Sloppy Joes. MMMMMMM
