The perfect combination of sweet and flavorful, these carrots are a wonderful side dish!  They are easy to prepare and you can make them as saucy or dry as you would like!

Brown Sugar & Onion Glazed Carrots

Prep Time: 2 minutes | Cook Time: 8-12 mins
Serves: 6-8 servings


  • 1lb carrots, cut into large coins (or baby carrots)
  • 1 medium sweet onion, cut into a large dice
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp beef bouillon
  • ½- 1¼c water (or you could use beef broth and omit the bouillon)
  • salt to taste
  • 4 Tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 Tbsp flour


  1. In a medium saucepan, place carrots, onion, sugar, bouillon, pinch salt, and ½c water.
  2. Cover and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook until carrots are softened, 8-12 minutes.
  4. If water cooks out too quickly and your pan dries out, add additional water. It’s okay if things get a little browned.
  5. In a small bowl, stir together butter and flour till smooth.
  6. Pour into the carrot mixture and stir until smooth.
