I just used mine at Walmart where they were priced at $0.88 each. $0.12 overage!

Can you use a Walgreens catalina for $1 off a Reach toothbrush at Walmart?

  • Jennifer

Question for you gals – I also have a manufacturer’s coupon for “Buy 2, Save $2.50” from the weekend paper.

    The wording is as follows…

    buy (1) Listerine mouthwash and/or any (1) reach toothbrush and/or any (1) Reach floss…

Does that mean I have to buy the mouthwash or could I buy two flosses? If so that’s a big money maker at Walmart (or so I assume!)

Jennifer, I am wondering the same thing too. I am thinking it will work on 2 flosses but I am not entirely sure. I wanted to try it out today but never made it to Walmart. Can anyone verify this? I love overage!!

It says in the fine print, “items can not be duplicated” so I am guessing you have two buy 2 different items. Anyone know how much the toothbrushes are?

I learned a lesson the hard way today at Walmart. Bring a copy of their coupon policy with you! My cashier and manager were certain that you could not be given an overage. Lost about $3.00. I came home printed it out and put it in my binder. I also notice that on the Walmart coupon policy it says the accept competitors coupons. Does this mean I can stack a Target coupon with a manufacturers there?

    • Jennifer

Heather – I don’t know about the Target coupon/stacking but I am nervous about doing anything at Walmart.

We went tonight to snag Nivea men’s soap, the J&J First Aid Kits, dental floss and cheese sticks… I’ve never couponed at this Walmart before and boy was it an experience!

The checker didn’t want to scan my Frigo coupons because she said they were for a “package.” I explained that they WERE packaged – individually – but I had to go through THREE levels of management to get approval! Mercy! She also tried to inform me of the coupon policy – which was incorrect – and I whipped out my copy to help her out. She also didn’t know what to do about the overage… coupon policy to the rescue!

In the end, we *made* about $1.50. Definitely worth the hassle and dirty looks from manager no. two!

Just a little plug for Walmart. I went there today to the Boise one, and the Cashier I got was WONDERFUL. She follows fabulesslyfrugal, and even coupons herself, I ended up giving her coupons I wasn’t going to use. She was amazing, so there are some great cashiers out there, you just have to get to know them. 🙂
