Razor Twisti Review
My kids are pretty awesome. They are great at sharing, good at taking turns, and love playing together… except with this toy…
The Razor Twisti. When Razor sent this to me to try out, I thought it would be best for my daughter. However, before it even came out of the box (pre-assembled!) my 18-month old son fell in love, and has claimed this little guy as his very own! If anyone even DREAMS about touching it, you’ll get one of the cutest tantrums you’ve ever seen… which involves him throwing himself on the, giving it a giant hug, and repeating no, no, no, over and over again at the end! To say the Razor Twisti is a favorite toy is an understatement to say the least!
I love that it’s light weight enough that he can carry it around. We don’t allow tantrums in the house, so when he doesn’t want to share, it gets put away. Because this is the ONE toy that he doesn’t like sharing, he’s quickly learned how to put it away in it’s proper spot! Now instead of tantrums, if he doesn’t want to share it, he just picks it up, and puts it away, and sits down in front of it, to make sure no one else plays with it… although we are working on getting him to let his sister play too, but it’s hard to share when you aren’t even 2!
Of course, I don’t want you to get me wrong. Just because he doesn’t like sharing it, doesn’t me that he doesn’t have to share. My 4 year old LOVES the Razor Twisti! But she has the sweetest spirit, and doesn’t want her baby brother to be upset, so she only plays on it when he’s asleep, by her choice, not mine. She’s so good about it in fact, that there’s a pink Twisit wrapped up for her for Christmas, and I can’t wait to watching them riding them together! But for now, we are content to let the Razor Twisti be mainly my son’s.
Because of it’s small size, it’s perfect for getting rid of the winter crazies in the house, but will also be a fun outside toy this summer as we head to the park! Just be sure to have your littles wear a helmet if you take them down hill, because safety is super important, and we don’t want any bruised noggins. However, inside, we just cruise around on the Twisti helmet free… well, because there are no hills or steps in our house, and it’s pretty darn hard to fall off the thing! 😀
Here are some specs on it:
- Even the littlest movers and shakers can ride and play with it!
- The Twisti promotes gross motor skill development as kids simply move the handlebars side to side to propel themselves, and it helps burn off some of that excess energy!
- Twisti’s eyes that move as the handlebars turn, which make it a fun friend!
- It features impact-resistant plastic frame, foam grips, and polypropylene wheels.
- Recommended for ages 18 months and up, it supports riders up to 55 pounds.
