easy pumpkin hot chocolate

Pumpkin Hot Chocolate to make your fall delightful!

In my old neighborhood, one of my neighbors would host a Halloween party every year and she served hot chocolate and homemade donuts. So fun! If homemade donuts sound good to you, check out this air fryer donuts recipe.

As far as the hot chocolate goes, you can’t get much better for a Halloween party drink, especially if it is chilly outside where you live. You could even do a hot chocolate bar with a few different flavors and add-in options. Yum!

Pumpkin hot chocolate is not just for Halloween. Enjoy it all fall and winter! This pumpkin hot chocolate is perfect for the pumpkin-lovers. It is almost like drinking a piece of warm pumpkin pie.

Pumpkin Hot Chocolate Ingredients

This pumpkin hot chocolate recipe is easy! You just need milk, pumpkin puree, spices, vanilla, and white chocolate. Then basically just warm it up! Yeah, you could probably use pumpkin pie spice, but I prefer the custom spice combo in the recipe. By the way, did you know you can mix up your own pumpkin pie spice?

You can totally use your favorite white chocolate chips in this recipe, but I like to use a Ghirardelli Classic White Baking Bar. You can usually find it right next to the chocolate chips. It is a 4-ounce bar of baking chocolate, so it is just the right amount and all you have to do is chop it up a little bit.

If you don’t have whole milk, that’s ok, but it helps to make it a bit more creamy. If you really want to get creamy, you could do half milk and half heavy cream.

The benefit of making hot chocolate in the Instant Pot is that you can cook it right in the pot, then set it to “Keep Warm” and it will be ready to go whenever you want serve it. Of course, you may want to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn’t get too hot and burn. 😉
