pistachio pudding salad recipe

Quick Pistachio Pudding Salad

This Thanksgiving side dish is also known as Watergate Salad. I guess I am too young to understand why. Anyone know?

I was first introduced to this pistachio pudding salad as a five year old by my Aunt Jana. I was amazed at how easy it was to make; even a 5-year-old could do it! It will only take you 5-10 minutes to whip this one up!!!

After I learned about this Pistachio Pudding salad from my aunt it started showing up for Thanksgiving. When I married my husband this Pistachio salad showed up on their Thanksgiving day table too. Now, this is a must-have for Thanksgiving at my house.

Pistachio salad recipe ingredients

Pistachio Pudding Salad Ingredients + Directions

You’ll only need 5-ingredients to make this delicious pistachio pudding salad. It’s easy to make too – all you have to do is dump and stir!

Note: I have made this without the pecans when I do not have them on hand and it is good that way too!

I have made my instructions for this pistachio salad (found below) a little more detailed to avoid dirtying more measuring cups than necessary. You could even use the same 1 cup measuring cup for all three measured ingredients.

An Easy & Delicious Holiday Dish

I hope you enjoy our traditional Thanksgiving side dish. It also makes a nice side dish for Christmas since it’s a pretty green color.

If you end up trying it out, let us know what you think! Who knows… it could become a tradition for your family as well! Enjoy!
