    Hi there

I’ve been having trouble opening links (I get an Internet Explorer error message) from FabFrugal this morning; is anyone else or is it just me?

I participated in this program and ended up sending the scanner back to them. I had to scan every item I purchased and hand enter the quantities as well as each items price. Each store also had to be entered separately. Getting a decent prize for the points I earned would have taken me years and way to many hours to make it worth my time.

I did this too and it was too much work for very little payoff! We returned our scanner after a month and never did earn anything.

I am currently in this program and do enjoy it. But Amy is right – much more time consuming than you’d ever expect or are led to believe – especially if you use coupons. I’d like to send my scanner back, but have heard so many horror stories about the scanner not being ‘received” and a charge of $250 being applied that I’m scared to try and exit the program. Not sure yet what I’ll do…

I have been on this program for more than a year and am almost qualified to receive a minimum prize.

Every shopping item must be scanned via a hand scanner. Albertsons and Fred Meyer work with them so the price does not have to be looked-up from the receipt. Walmart and Winco (and most other store) entries require item to be scanned, quantities entered, price of each item entered and then if any discount is entered, the type of discount (sale, coupon, mfg coupon, other) and then the amount of discount. The total shopping cost is then entered.

Lots of work. Slow for rewards to be earned.

For all of the hoarders that watch this and other couponing sites; you will not need the extra effort for little reward.
