Question…6 months ago I signed up for the Statesman and got the $3/week deal. Well, I just received my renewal notice in the mail and the price is significantly higher. Is this typical? I didn’t realize my deal was only for the first 6 months. Anyone have advice other than to call them and hash it out?

Skip the Statesman Office call and just pay cash to the men selling the subscriptions in the grocery store. Use your name and cell phone if your original order was in your husbands name. Pay for the whole year in cash and then you aren’t faced with waiting 6 weeks and paying huge prices to the lady on the phone.

When I signed up, it was through a man selling at the grocery store. I guess my question is…am I going to have to go through this EVERY time my subscription runs out? And the subscription is through me, not my husband, so changing the name will not be an option.
