Use you used dryer sheets to help you clean!

  • Remove foods stuck hard on your pots and pans by filling the pan with water and drop the sheet inside. Let soak for about an hour and wash as usual.
  • Quilters can use old dryer sheets to keep block-edges straight and all the same size
  • Dust furniture
  • Put them on a hanger in the closet to add freshness to the closet
  • Hang on the shower curtain to add a fresh scent to bathrooms
  • Use them to  polish mirrors and chrome appliances, or clean windows and mirrors

They also repel mice. My dad uses them in his 5th wheel.

And spiders too! My husbands grandma swears by them.

I use newspapers for glass instead of paper towels. It works great and the used newspapers can still be recycled.

On the subject of window..My grandma used to clean houses and swore by using cloth diapers to clean glass/windows. You can buy and pack a rewash them and they last for years and years plus they are super absorbent. I do this and I have saved a bundle not using paper towels. With the diapers you don’t have to be worried about leaving lent behind. I do use newspaper for my car and outside windows.

We use formula scoopers for serving brown sugar on oatmeal, sugar for coffee and dishwasher detergent. The little measuring cups that come with children’s medicines work good for measuring salt, baking soda and baking powder. Plus they are small enough to leave in containers. Baby food jars with painted lids make cute organizers for small items. The wax bag from cereal boxes can be washed and used to store bread or goodies in freezer. I save the plastic container from cupcake liners and use them for sending muffins in hubby’s lunch so they don’t get squished.

You can use those bags you get onions or oranges in at the store to scrub dished with.
