Meet Heather…

heatherHeather’s expertise on…
She posts about Walmart, Albertsons IM, Albertsons NW, Online Deals, Rite Aid, and More!

The most frugal thing Heather has ever done is… rented her wedding dress because she just couldn’t see spending so much money on a dress she would only wear once!  Then her hubby and she took back almost all of their wedding gifts so that they could have money to buy groceries while they were poor college students!

Heather’s frugal fashion tips… She likes to buy clothes at the end of  season clearance sales.  Some things like jeans, swimsuits, and coats are not going to go out of style in a year and they are up to 75% less expensive at the end of the season!

Heather’s favorite place to shop online… Amazon!!  Because they have everything she looks for and they have the best prices! Heather is absolutely addicted to Amazon Prime!  She loves the freedom of knowing she’s  getting a great deal and having it shipped to her for free!

Heather has always been frugal… She just can’t pay full price for anything!  She really believes that there is nothing that you can’t get a deal on and she just doesn’t enjoy anything she feels she over paid for.  It’s a fun challenge to get the things her family loves for less!

Heather was introduced to couponing… By watching those silly extreme couponing shows!  She tried to do what they did and FAILED!  It wasn’t until she found sites like Fabulessly Frugal that she figured out how to coupon successfully! Slow and Steady and not buying things she doesn’t want or use just because they are a good deal.

Every family size can coupon… Her husband and she have 8 kids!  Couponing for such a big family means that her stockpile grows more slowly because they go through things so fast!

Davis Family

Wanna know how much Heather spends on groceries each month… They spend between $400 – $600 a month on groceries.  That includes cleaners and toiletries for 4 teenagers!

Heather splurges sometimes, wanna know her weakness? Fun activities for the family!  Whether it’s memberships to the Aquarium or the YMCA, or Ski Passes, she loves to have fun, active things for her family to do together!

Heather loves to stockpile…  Toiletries!  She loves having the brands and items her family wants on hand whenever they need them!  When her daughter needs more shampoo and she have just the brand she loves or her son needs deodorant and she have the only kind he will use already in stock at home, she feels like she has won!  It’s important to her to teach her kids that they can have the items and brands they like and still save money so that hopefully they will carry that with them as adults!

Heather realized she was addicted to couponing… the first time she saved 75% on things already on her shopping list for that week!  It almost made her sick how much money she had been wasting all those years!  She will never go back to spending so much money when that money could go toward fun family activities!

Would Heather still coupon if she had a million dollars... She takes very seriously what she considers her responsibility to be a good steward of the blessings we have been given.  If she had a million dollars she would have so much more to bless the lives of others because she would continue to be frugal including couponing!  It’s a nice thing to dream about!

Couponing has changed Heather’s life… because she no longer feels guilty about buying the things she wants!  She is not taking anything away from her kids by buying the high end products she loves because she can get them for less than the generic brands!
