My family and I were able to try out a Kiwi Crate for ourselves and were SO impressed! Check out the review below!
Are you looking for a fun and easy way to integrate Arts, Crafts, & Creativity into your routine? Kiwi Craft offers several options for one-time or monthly subscriptions to their many different activities! My kids and I just got done creating and playing with projects from Kiwi Crate, and I have to say that we LOVE it! Our family home schools, and while we stick to a main curriculum throughout the school year, we are always on the lookout for fun activities to supplement the learning process. As a teacher coming from a class of 30 students to my home school class, I tend to plan and gather most of the arts & crafts on my own. But this is, and will be, an exception to my routine, and for a very good price!!
Kiwi Crate provides ALL of the items needed to work on the project you receive, even down to the tape & scissors! Also included are kid-friendly, colorful, and easy instructions for the project. I sat at the table with my kiddos and helped, but had the big kids read the step by step instructions. They were able to follow them and complete the activity easily. Another fun part of the Kiwi Crate is that it started the kids off with a “My Adventures” map which comes with a new sticker each month to track and show each of the activities that have been done. My little kids LOVED this, and it’s already up on the wall in the classroom!
I personally appreciate all of the learning that Kiwi Crate weaves into the activity; and that the kids had FUN with the projects. I have four kids; twins in second grade, a preschooler, and a three year old. So, I often have the big kids buddy up with the little kids to work on a project or activity that encourages teamwork. The two activities in the box were a PERFECT fit for our buddy time, and both of the little kids got to make Shadow Puppets and a Kaleidoscope. The specific crate that they had was Shadow & Light.
Here’s a picture of the Shadow Puppet supplies right out of the box and then completed!
While making the Kaleidoscope my little guy beamed and exclaimed, “This is awesome! I put that sticker on there!” And then as we were wrapping up the activity I overheard my oldest son (8 years old) say to my other kids, “This is the COOLEST thing I’ve ever done!” And then he directed the next comment towards me, “Thanks MOM!!” Well, I say, Thanks Kiwi Crate for helping us learn a bit more about Shadow & Light, and giving us a fun keepsake as well!
Kiwi Crate was founded on the vision of inspiring kids’ creativity and its mission is to help equip the next generation of innovators with the tools for creative problem solving and exploration. Kiwi Crate offers high quality award-winning products across four brands for young makers ranging in age from 3 to 16+.
