They aren’t accepting people in my area. Anyone else getting that message?

  • Samantha

Yeah, Kuna. That’s sad it sounds kind of fun!

  • Stephanie

How long does it take to have the scanner sent to you? They aren’t accepting my current address but my new one made the cut, but we aren’t moving for another 2 weeks.

  • Sherri

I got the not recruiting in my area. I live in twin.

  • michelle

I think I’ve been accepted! Said they would send a confirmation email. I’m in Helena, MT area.

  • Lindsey KR

Morley, Michigan is a no. Again.

  • Jaime

I’m in W.WA and was accepted a few weeks ago. Already got my stuff- not sure how long this is gonna work for my family- the input process is a bit tedious (esp. when using a lot of coupons/sales). I figure I’ll give it a few months and then make a final decision.

  • Ashley

Boise is a no go too.

  • Jacqueline

Blackfoot Idaho is a no go. 🙁

  • Eric

No go for me in Boise.

  • Gina

I signed up a couple of months ago and am getting my scanner delivered today! I’m in Portland, OR. Hopefully we can get some good stuff out of it!

  • Bobi

Hi, I was chosen for the Pacific Northwest area and received my stuff a few days ago. I agree with Jaime that it look tedious. Lots of info to input, price, was item on sale, amount of coupon, did you use a shoppers card, input list is pretty long. I am thinking about sending back after looking at points needed to purchase items. I am thinking it would take me too much work for the little I would get. Others might disagree though, still a fun concept.

  • Rachel

Bobi – I agree. I got this and for all the time and effort you have to put in and the minimal points you get and the massive amount of points you need to actually buy something, it just seems like a waste of time. I sent my back without even using it.

  • Stephanie

Went through the questions and at the end said they would send me an email confirmation. Does that mean I’m approved? (Lexington, KY here)

  • Gina

I’d like to know if this paid off for anybody who has used it?

Otherwise if it’s like Bobi and Rachel say I may send it back without using.

  • Melinda

I got a surprise package today from FedEx. NCP accepted me last time I signed up and I received the scanner today. I’ll give it a try and see how it goes. I figure, a little work for some free stuff; maybe a few Christmas gifts.

I’ve been scanning for nearly a year. Sometimes it’s a bit frustrating, but once you get the hang of it, it’s fairly easy. It just takes dedication to do it before you put everything away.

It takes awhile to build up points, but I’m not doing it just for the things I can buy; I like being a voice that represents a segment of our nation that doesn’t get recognized as much, like buying mostly organic food and cleaners. For the most part, I’ve just come to enjoy it.

If you only do it for the points, I’m not sure this is for you, unless you are very patient.
