I use the meat grinder to make the best cranberry orange relish. Wash 2 whole oranges, cut into wedges, and one pkg of fresh cranberries, frozen. I freeze them so they don’t squirt that good juice everywhere. Just alternate cranberries, orange wedges, cranberries, orange wedged until all done. They will drop down into your stainless bowl if you put it below the grinder. Add 2 cups of sugar after ground and stir. It will last 5 weeks or more in your fridge, but it will get gobbled up before that.

my husband makes similar cranberry orange relish each Thanksgiving and Christmas- it is do die for!!! but he uses one green apple, 1 orange and 1 pkg of cranberries. We cut sugar to just about half a cup- it is still very sweet.

I also make cranberry chutney for Thanksgiving – fresh cranberries, apple, orange, pineapple, sugar,a splash of triple sec and some blanched slivered almonds for some cruch…delish! I don’t have the grinder so I just blend the apple & orange in my blender…
