Freezer Meal Recipes: Creamy Italian Chicken
Sundays are a blur around my place. I love Creamy Italian Chicken because it tastes great and my family really enjoys it. I often serve it to company and it doesn’t cost me an arm or a leg. So, it’s delicious, easy, and economical, what’s not to love!
When chicken is on sale, I like to buy enough for 3 or 4 meals. In just a few minutes I can create several yummy meals and place them in my freezer. Saturday night I put a bag in my fridge to thaw. On Sunday morning all I have to do is remove it from the fridge, add it to my slow-cooker, and plug it in. My delicious dinner is almost ready when I arrive home. You gotta love it!
So, here’s what you’ll need along with 6 to 8 chicken pieces. I like to plan chicken breast for adults and drumsticks for the kids. For the sauce purchase, Cream of Chicken Soup, mushrooms with juice, 8 ounces of cream cheese, and a packet of Italian Salad Dressing mix.
Wash and dry chicken pieces. Add them to a freezer bag or container. Mix the sauce ingredients together and add it to the bag too. Remove as much air as you, I like to use a straw, and seal the bag.
All you need to do now is label the bag and place it in the freezer.
The night before you will be enjoying Creamy Italian Chicken, remove it from the freezer. Place it in the refrigerator and let it thaw. 6 to 8 hours before serving place it in a slow cooker set on low. Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, noodles, or trust me, it’s a great low-carb meal served with a fresh veggie or salad. Enjoy!
