Fab Family Fun: Spring Flower Baskets
What You Need
Craft Sticks – I think they’re about $3.99 at Michael’s for a 150 count package (these I already had, so I don’t remember for sure). Use a 40% coupon from the Sunday paper to get them for less!
Flowers – You can either buy these at Michael’s (again, use a 40% off coupon) or just cut them out of colored paper you already have.
Jelly Beans and/or Easter Grass – Whichever you prefer to have in your basket. You can print a $1/2 LifeSavers Jelly Beans coupon or a $1/2 Wonka Jelly Beans coupon here(this is good for Nerds, SweetTarts, or Spree jelly beans).
Small Baskets – I got the ones shown at Walmart. I paid $1 for a package of 4.
It’s as easy as it looks! Just slip the flowers onto the sticks and top them with gumdrops. My flowers already had small holes in the middle but if yours don’t, use a toothpick to punch holes in them and make the holes gradually bigger. If your hole is too big, they will not stay on the stick.
Finally, fill your baskets with jelly beans or Easter grass and put the flowers inside. The flowers will stand up a lot better in the jelly beans. If you use grass, you can also put some jelly beans in just for fun.
