Fab Deal on Strawberry Plant Starts {Boise & National!}

It’s time to start planting Strawberries!

The most FruGal way of getting strawberries is growing your own.  In previous years my husband and I have tried growing strawberries from the local nurseries only to have grown a patch of beautiful leaves and no fruit.  Finally we found a variety that produces all growing season long, the fruit is large and plentiful, and the berries are so super sweet they are our FAVORITE by far.

Kurt is now taking pre orders for strawberry plants. They will be ready for April planting.  These are the Albion variety which is the new “gold standard” in the industry with regards to flavor.  It  is a day neutral plant (ever-bearer) which means they produce from June until it freezes.  These have been a favorite for us personally and this is all we grow now. Plant in 1′ increments. They will produce in the first year.  You can call him locally Boise area at 830-7839 or email him at Kurto_Ut @ Yahoo {dot} com.

These can be shipped as well.

    AH!! I’m moving to Boise in 5 days :):) We can’t wait to get our Hydroponic set up..great timing ! Thank you…Now the real question, how many should I get?

    Are those prices the local price, or the shipped price?

    I got 50 of these last year and was impressed. We had a decent crop, even though it was the first year. We would have enough for the dinner table about every 4 days (assuming my youngest wouldn’t go out and eat all of the red ones). I do, however, have a question… My leaves were almost yellow, what am I lacking, do you know? I am wanting to have the best crop this year that we possibly get so that maybe I can make some jam, so any suggestions you have would be welcomed! Thanks!!
